Hi, I'm Sean Chua from Winners Education Centre.

Many of you know me as the 10 Year Series Book Author for both O-Level Pure Chemistry and A-Level H2 Chemistry.

I have the privilege to unlock the potential of 2000+ students, helping them to achieve 3 grades jump or more for their Chemistry within the shortest period of time and to provide them the edge to enter the most competitive university of their choice. 

From my 20+ years of teaching experience, I discover the main reasons why today’s JC 1 and 2 students are struggling to pass Chemistry with Distinction are:

1) They cannot understand Chemistry concepts at all due to change of style of learning from classroom teaching to home based learning.

2) They don’t know how to apply what they have learnt to score in exams because they answer in their own “language” without paying attention to the keywords which examiners are looking for to award them the full marks.

3) Hardworking students are studying Chemistry the wrong way! They are learning Chemistry concepts only on the surface without much understanding. They tend to memorise the sentences in their notes and expect to score in exam by regurgitating. However, the questions will not come out that way. They got it wrong all these while since a concept can be tested in different angles. As such, they struggle to score better than C or even D grade.

Really appreciate how Mr Sean Chua emphasizes the need to understand Chemistry concepts rather than memorizing them.

A question could easily cross topics without us knowing. I used to think that Chemistry was a very difficult subject due to the fact that the questions have a high tendency to cross topics.

I was always very confused at these seemingly random questions that came out of nowhere. For example, an organic chemistry question could have multiple questions of different topics (which I thought was random).

However, through Mr Chua’s clear, logical and concise notes, teachings and explanations, I find myself having more fun than stress learning Chemistry.

Really thankful for Mr Chua for changing my perspective of Chemistry.
